How we record a project

Context, challenge, solution, validation, outcome

A project is published with the parts that actually happened. Where a step has not happened yet, the record says so instead of filling the gap.

Context

Who the customer is, the market, the intended use and the scale of the project — in the terms the customer allowed us to publish.

Challenge

The original conditions, the difficulties and the risks that were identified before anything was proposed.

Solution

What was proposed, what was changed and why, including the options that were priced and then rejected.

Validation

Drawings, samples, trial fitting, tests, artwork or written confirmation: whatever actually happened before the order was released.

Outcome

What is confirmed today, the current status of the project, and what still has to be followed up.

Customers are described in anonymised terms unless they have agreed to be named, and internal documents stay internal. What is published here is the part of each project we are able to show.

Dumpster Bags for a UK Skip Hire Operator

A UK skip hire operator wanted to stop collecting empty skips from sites that only fill them once. They trialled dumpster bags for one-way construction waste, lifted by forklift jib, and have since reordered twice. The feedback that mattered was not the bag's rating but how the base and loop roots behaved on a site where bags get dragged across concrete.

    Dewatering Bags for a Municipal Water Treatment Contractor

    A municipal water treatment contractor handles lagoon sludge that had to be hauled away wet, which put most of the cost into water rather than solids. They ordered dewatering bags for a trial campaign on one lagoon: fill, drain on the existing concrete pad, then lift the drained cake. The bags have shipped and are awaiting the site's drainage trial.

    Food-Grade Baffle Bag Trial for a European Ingredient Packer

    A European ingredient packer had two problems with their previous bags: a liner that shifted during filling, which their audit treats as a hygiene risk, and a tubular body that stacked badly. We proposed a baffle construction with the liner attached at the spout. The project is at sampling stage; no production has happened and their approval process is still open.

    U-Panel FIBC for Silica Sand: A GCC Building-Materials Distributor

    A GCC building-materials distributor was losing pallets in transit because tubular bags bulged and would not stack. We replaced the construction rather than the fabric weight: a U-panel body with a coated fabric and a liner. The production batch has passed final inspection and shipped; repeat-order performance is not yet proven.
